Getting the Most Out of Your Browsing Experience
The Pingo Studios Web is best viewed with Safari from Apple. We believe that it’s a superior browser and will enhance your web surfing experience. It’s not just for Mac OS X anymore - Safari is now available on Windows.
If you are a Windows IE user and are experiencing trouble, for example, viewing movies on our web site, then you’re either missing the Quicktime Player, or its Plugin, or have it configured incorrectly. Pingo Studios relies on H.264 technologies, so Quicktime 7 or later is required.
You can get Apple Safari or Quicktime here.
If you’re Mac OS X user, you may from time to time want to view or listen to Windows Media on the web or even your desktop. Some people will download the Microsoft Windows Media Player for this, but we recommend instead the Flip4Mac Plugin for Quicktime - it plays Windows Media directly within Quicktime. You know you need this if you can’t play files whose names end in WMV or WMA. If you have Quicktime 7 or later and the Flip4Mac plugin, and you’re still getting a “Not Supported” message, then the content you’re trying to view or listen to is most likely protected by Windows Digital Rights Management. DRM basically protects your media enjoyment in much the same fashion as jail protects your freedom - in other words, we can’t help with that.
If you’re a Firefox fan, then you’re probably already used to all that that implies in your browsing experience. We’ve followed the web building guidelines and regret we cannot offer further help.
The less popular, but very highly capable Opera browser should work very well on our site. We are aware that, unfortunately, at this time the Opera Mini browser (highly recommended for Java-capable cell phones) is somewhat overwhelmed by the media-rich content of the Pingo Studios web. All we can say at this time is that we’re working on it.
If a Dashboard widget/gadget doesn’t load or act correctly, you might try reloading the page. Such problems aren’t caused by our site or your browser; it just means that particular feed is busy.
We are aware of the “Use Current Browser” issue for some of you when trying out our temporary Gallery Samples. Please check back - this problem will be resolved shortly.
